The metro is anchored by two large health systems — Sanford and Essentia — plus Family HealthCare, an independent non-profit that treats patients regardless of ability to pay. Named clinics below, sorted by which side of the river you're on, with the hours that actually matter at 6 p.m. on a Sunday. If your child is having a medical emergency, call 911 — this page is a directory, not medical advice, and we don't tell you how urgent anything is.

Sanford Children's Urgent Care Clinic2701 13th Ave S. Walk-in, no appointment — the only pediatric clinic in the metro we've confirmed holds weekday evenings and both weekend days: Mon–Fri 7:30am–7:30pm, but Sat–Sun 8–5, so the weekend closes two and a half hours earlier. You can reserve a spot and pick an arrival time through My Sanford Chart, which usually shortens the wait. The Minnesota side has no dedicated pediatric urgent care that we could confirm. The nearest after-hours option is general walk-in care.
Dad TipPut your clinic's after-hours nurse line in your phone now, while nobody has a fever. The 2 a.m. version of you will not be in a position to go looking for it.
Every place on this page was read on its own website, and the date beside each one is the day we read it. What that date does and does not promise.
